Yes Baby, the Stars do Shine Bright

Hello my lovelies! I meant to update much earlier but I'm a dolt and forgot that I had news! Yes, I went to the Baby The Stars Shine Bright store in San Fransico! We managed to squeeze in an afternoon for me to check out the store. It was such a dream come true!

Unfortunately, as you probably know, there is no picture taking allowed in the store so I couldn't snap a pic of how cute I looked in a dress. I will buy a brand dress one day. I have a goal! The dresses are a thicker, nicer material than I expected. It's nice though.

I didn't have enough money to buy anything big obviously but I did manage to get enough money together to buy a head eating bow and a pair of Alice and the Pirates socks! I can't wait to get a co-ord together and have a
photoshoot. I'm so proud of these items.

The staff was very kind and patient with me. The girl at the cashier was dressed in Fairie Kei which I thought was adorable! She h
elped me with fitting rooms and didn't mind that I was taking so long to decide what to get (But my parents on the other hand weren't so understanding. Next time I go to San Franscico it'll be with girlfriends.) I'd give my shopping experience there five stars! With my only critic being the store is a little hard to find. It's on the upper level of an art gallery.

After Baby, we went to a really cool hippie district. The artistic grunginess contrasted well with my cute and polished lolita experience, but I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy every second! Diversity for the win.

San Franscico is a beautiful city for so many reasons. They've lead so many movements (The gay rights movement, the hippie movement... Ect.) and the city is just so cutting edge! I can't wait to go back, and it's somewhere I would love to live. Well Pixar studios is in California, and that's where I want to work.

Maybe all my dreams can come true? All I know is that Baby, the stars are shining bright.

SAN FRANSICO!

Hey lovelies!

I'm coming to you from a co
ffee shop on my mac book and I feel a lot like an indie douche bag xD The place I'm staying doesn't have Wifi so that's sad and I haven't been able to update, but I have been able to write my play. Oh boy I'm lame

Anyways some of the high lights of this trip have been the Steam Punk convention I went to! I made friends with a cute emo kid and had crazy amounts of fun looking at cool things. I even got to try on a corset but stupid
me forgot to take a picture. Ugh, I disapoint myself. I think I might add a nice corset to my wish list. They're so lovely. I don't want a a cheap one either. It has to have the actual lace up the back. I need to be able to not breath properly or NO DICE!

I'm super hyper because of the crazy amounts of coffee I've consumed to fight off jet lag, so I apologize if this post is a tad bit silly. Teehee.

Yesterday I went to Japan town and bought the latest issue of Kera. EEP SO CUTE! I also got a cool notebook for $1.50. Unfortunately I couldn't get any of the millions of plushies, stickers, deco packs or cellphone charms I wanted. I almost died in the Sanrio store.

I unfortunately haven't done all that much shopping on this trip. Financially I'm limited because I left my wallet at home (Fail) and I don't have any other means of finance, so I'm pretty much relying on my parents for spending money. I really don't like having to go to them for money but I don't really have a choice. I plan on paying them back when I get home anyways but it still sucks because they don't want to buy me anything that's $20 plus, but I'd be able to had I REMEMBERED TO BRING MY WALLET! (Facepalm)

On a side note I may not be able to go to the Baby store. This is very upsetting but we just might not have time for it :( When my parents go on vacation they mostly like to walk around and look at water :P I'll try to persuade them with all my might. I know I won't be able to buy anything but I can at least visit and try on a brand dress right? RIGHT?!?!?!

Anyways toodles for now everyone. I'll update
again on Monday at the latest.

P.S the pictures are from the Steam Punk convention. The guy in the last picture was my new friend Ben.

Spring Cleaning

Hey everyone! Long time no blog!

My new laptop is AMAZING! Happy 16th to me? (Though it is a little early. I'm asking for a hamster for my actual sixteenth though because it's inexpensive.) The computer runs like a dream and I'm really a big fan of the track pad. Apple has amazed me again! (I'm such a geek.) One feature I'm particularly enjoying is the webcam. It's nice to be able to see who I'm chatting to.

In other news, SPRING HAS ARRIVED! (Sort of.) It's recently gotten a lot warmer here so I've been taking full advantage of this by wearing lighter jackets and flouncy summer dresses. After a long, cold, Canadian winter there's nothing better.

I've also used this weather improvement as motivation to clean up my room a little. Yesterday I tackled my shelf which was begging for organization! It's nice to have access to things again, like my books/manga.

It was a weekend full of fancy parties, bowling, setting things on fire, driving around aimlessly and cleaning. A great way to spend my last weekend before San Franscico! (I'm leaving on Saturday! EEEP!)

School is calling though, stay lovely.

Concert Concert Concert!

Good evening lovelies.

I'm sorry I haven't posted this weekend
with updates about mah concert experiences but my computer decided it wanted to be mean and I haven't been able to turn it on since. It's currently in the shop and I'm using mom's laptop.

Anyways down to business, the concert was amazing! I've never been in mosh pits as incredible! And I only fell over once, and that was mostly because there was a domino affect. I discovered that the best way to not fall over is to latch onto total strangers. Foolproof.

It must seem sort of strange, a girl who's into fashion, lolita, photography, poetry and art to be in mosh pits and head banging but honestly I think it's important to have a wide range of interests, not just what we feel we should be interested in because it's part of our subculture or label. Example (And I'm using lolita because there seems to be a lot of wank over this) lolitas are sort of known for having tea parties, but what if you're not into tea? Sure, it's tasty or whatever, but honestly to you it's not that big of a deal, but does that make you less lolita?

Of course not! Just because you don't follow the rules of a subculture perfectly doesn't mean you don't belong. I think we should all do what makes us happy first and worry about weather or not we fit in second. That's my take on the subject.

Anyways I had a great time at the concert and I can't wait for the summer to start so I can go to more! (I have too many things that require money in the winter/spring.)

Stay lovely and true all six of my readers.

P.S I really love the pictures from this... The first one is from on our way to the concert and the second I took a while back but I found it fitting. <3
